KARMA, KARMA
Most people spend their lives watching others hurt them and thrive. They see themselves become stepping stones for callous men with heavy boots to weigh on. That was me until recently. After reporting my rape to Title IX and being dismissed, then having community support and my truth being put out there--karma finally caught up to them. It didn't matter how much money, how many resources, or how cruel they were. It didn't matter how they told me there was no proof or evidence he was physical despite some pictures of awful bruises... I can live knowing karma caught up to them. I wish I could thank Jane Doe... I wish I could let her know how her bravery has given me so much relief. To know their cruelty couldn't stop me, and it couldn't stop karma... I thank her. Selfishly, because a part of me finally feels free!!
